Yep, with limited access to a computer, my job, and sheer laziness, I've spent most of my time away from here. In fact, I've barely even sketched.

This must be rectified.

I'll be doing my best to get back to sketching and uploading here, but it takes time. But in the meantime, I thought I should throw up a Journal. Especially since...

By that I mean 10k views. I joined here years ago, and I'm just about to reach it. It's kind of sad, especially seeing kids who put 5 minutes of effort into their MS Paint doodle and recieve a crapton of views and replies. But, I suppose that's how it goes on dA, hm?

There'll be a kiriban for 10k, of course. I'm doing random sketches in anticipation. :3 Make sure you catch it!

I'm also sketching re-dos of old characters for a storyline/personal universe/potential webcomic I'm creating with . I think you'll like it.

As you can see to the right, my comissions are open, but those prices are incorrect. Because right now, it's all FREE. I mean, at my skill level, I don't know if I could charge someone. That wouldn't be fair, and I'm not a cheat.

I'll throw up a few scribblings soon, and I dug up some work from a while back that I never posted, so perhaps that'll go up, too.

So, I need to get back on track with my artwork, dA. I've given myself a long enough break. Now I need YOUR help to get up and running again. So for a while, I'll do sketches, chibis, aircraft, your OC, my OC, both, whatever. Just give me a reasonnable request and help me flex my artistic muscles again.

So, how about it, deviantART?

Motivation is my biggest problem when it comes to my artwork. Not that I hate drawing. On the contrary-it's just that i'm easily distracted by other things. It pains me, especially looking through my gallery. I miss it.

And that's where you come in, reader. I'm looking for Art Trades, Requests, Collab requests, whatever. Don't expect anything spectacular, but I tend to do better under the pressure of a deadline anyway. :3

Also, as you can see, I have opened Commissions! I'm dirt-cheap, but I'd feel bad charging any more at my skill level. So, why not help me out! Give yourself  a nice custom piece of art, and give me the satisfaction of finally being able to sell my work.

Dave and I are also working on a project to design our own little universe. Eventually, I intend to make a webcomic in it, but first we'll be putting up sketches, stories and designs, and so forth.
However, if you want to help us out with the stories here, please send me a Note. I'm less of a writer than an illustrator, so help from someone more experienced is always appreciated.

So, the other day, I went and threw out a lot of old artwork. Concepts, sketches, and a lot of junk. Most of it never got posted online because it was crap. It was all from my early time as an artist. That being said, it was an odd feeling to reflect on the sheafs of paper, and I hesitated out of sheer nostalgia to destroy them. But reason won over. It's gone.

But that being said, how do you, reader, deal with old artwork? do you throw it away? Keep it for years like I did? Do you spend time reflecting on the events at hand when you did that piece?
Do you quietly reflect on what could have been if you took a different artistic pathÉ

I suppose this is just one of those random late-night thoughts. Inconsiquential, yet meaningful, in a way.

So, after all the melodrama, I got myself a job and an apartment. I work in Shipping at EECOL Electric in Edmonton. I basically get paid $2400 a month (something like $14 an hour, I think) to put boxes in other boxes, then ship them, for 8 hours a day. Added to this is that all my bills and food only comes to about $800 a month, and Life seems to be taking a definate upturn for me. :3

I heard yesterday that Canada has chosen to buy 65 of the Lockheed-Martin F-35A Lightning II.
This is, I believe, a wise choice. Our CF-18s are aging, and we NEED a replacement. Of course, Michael Ignatieff, the Offical Opposition's leader, it acting like a whiney, selfish prick, and as much as he tries to look like the good guy, he obviously is only thinking of his own needs here. Come on, Canada, We let the government fuck up the last TAC HELI deal, and while we were GOING to buy the UH-60 Blackhawk, wat did we get instead? The CH-146 Griffon. Sure, it looks ok, but it's really just a Bell 412 with Armor and green paint. Can we really afford to let them fuck this one up? I don't think so.

On a side note, is selling a bunch of comissions, and it's in your best interest to haul ass over to her page. Why? Because it's for a good cause-other deviants who need subs! Yeah, she has told me that you can buy in bulk, and if you do, you save soething like 50%, which is doubly generous! And all the points from the sales go to getting greedy little bastards like you and me FREE SUBS!
Normally, I don't advertise, but hey, it's for a good cause.
